The set of prenatal examinations includes the following examinations and the evaluation of their results is always done by the gynecologist:

• General blood

• General urine

• Sugar - urea - creatinine - liver enzymes

• Blood type and Rhesus

• Hemoglobin electrophoresis - test for Mediterranean anemia Australian antigen (test for hepatitis B)

• HCV (hepatitis C) 

• PRP for treponema 

• HIV (AIDS) 

• TSH (test for thyroid disease) 

• Antibodies to rubella, toxoplasma, listeria and CMV (cytomegalovirus) type G and M 

• Vaginal culture culture for aerobic and anaerobic microbes, fungi, ureaplasma, mycoplasma and chlamydia

• Papanicolaou test 

• Transvaginal ultrasound study

• Breast ultrasound and mammography (if the woman is over 35 years old). Periodontal examination
